This was the best news I've heard since I can remember - as far as my
concerns about the W.S.!
I think that it really helped to have Jim Thome make a plea for Paul to come
back. Paul's best interest's went both ways agreement with management and
every side came out a winner - especially for the fans!
I always thought he was a good "dude" with a well refined character of
ethics and morals! I'm starting to smell a "Repeat"!

Just hoping that next year there's a spot on the roster for the BIG HURT.
This line-up might just look like twice the size of Ramirez and Ortiz!

I hate to see it, but I don't see there being a place on the roster for The
Big Hurt. With Thome and Paulie, we already have two players that can only
play 1st or DH (Yeah, Thome used to be a 3rd baseman, but that was a long
time ago). Probably can't afford to have a 3rd player who can only play DH
or 1st.

I'm sure that you're right. Anyway, Crede has 3rd base sewn up. I was
thinking that Konerko could play third because he covers first really well,
although he doesn't have as good of lateral movement as Joel. Thomas'
hitting was really a quite unbelievable this past year - awesome actually.
Even though he couldn't get the singles and doubles, his eye was the
sharpest that I'd ever seen since those early years.

I'm alive & well & enjoyed every second of the White Sox victory.
I hoped that they'd get to another World Series before my time was up,
but I never dreamed they'd actually win one.
Have I changed my opinion of JR?--no! The Sox should have been World
Series bound several times in the 90s.
However, this is no time for complaints, just time for all White Sox
fans to smile & enjoy--& I'm doing exactly that.

So was I as I started following the team in 1957.
That was along time ago.
