Hody folks,

I'm at SBC right now, awaiting the start of the Expos-Giants game
(there's a wi-fi network at the park, that's how I'm getting through).
I just had a nice interview with Ron Calloway for a local magazine,
which I'll post when it's written up. Summary: He's happy to be here,
the clubhouse is very upbeat and Ron thinks the fans in Montréal have
been "burned."

The mood in the clubhouse was light: folks were watching the Olympics
on TV, some of the Latin players were chatting in the fore of the
clubhouse and Nick Johnson was just named NL player of the week. Brian
Schneider was stretching on the floor, even though Diaz is scheduled
to catch.

Right now (4:47 p.m. PDT), the Giants are having infield practice,
John Patterson just finished a light throwing session and Livan
Hernandez is chatting with some of his old Giants mates.

I just got home from work, and it's currently the bottom of the eighth, but it
sounds like you been able to see an exciting game.

It was, unfortunately the relief pitching couldn't hold up. It seems the
Expos have solved their hitting problems, but injuries and inexperiance
have affected the pitching.
