The D'Backs have been playing great of late, but your guys never gave Kim a
lot of run support in his efforts at conversion to a starter. Today he gave
up a run in the 1st, and his teammates came back with 14 in the bottom of
the inning. Kim has almost an hour wait between the first and second inning,
as the RS set a MLB record by scoring 10 runs before the first out was made.
Kim went 5 innings for the win, with just the one ER (but 4 unearned runs in
the 5th with the RS up 19-1). This was partial makeup for the Phillies game,
where he gave up only 2 runs in 6 innings (lifted for PH) and took the loss.

I doubt you could afford Damon. He is making $7.5 m this year, $8 m next,
and $8.5 the following year. His stats this year have been disappointing,
but he has been hitting well the past 3 weeks and RS fans are hopeful, as he
has a history of doing well in the 2d half (last year being an exception).
My understanding was that the D'Backs traded for Hilly b/c he was cheap and
Kim was shceduled to get $5 m next year.

See. That's what we need. Tell you what. We'll trade you,
um, Tony Womack for the rest of the Red Sox lineup.

<grin> Yes, I am puzzled at Womack's place in your lineup. Anyway, my
comment about RS run support for Kim was tongue-in-cheek. Prior to Friday's
game, the run support was pretty mixed --- RS scored no runs in his prior
outing and 3 the outing before that. But 24 runs in one game is going to
make the average look awfully good.

It's really easy actually: Disable List.
