I've heard that Carl Everett called a team only meeting to discuss how
to approach Omar about firing Frank. Anyone else heard this?

Interesting. I've been questioning some of Frank's managerial decisions
this year and wondering if it was affecting the team. The prolonged batting
slumps and fielding lapses seem more than just bad luck...

That was presented as a motivational tool -- "If you're ready to play,
put your name down" -- in at least the Gazette.
