| The Rose Award goes to Geovany Soto of the Chicago Cubs, who went two-
for-four with six RBI and scored two runs in a 19-5 win over the
Milwaukee Brewers.
It was the Cubs' biggest scoring outburst since a 20-1 rout of the
Dodgers on May 5, 2001.

Shouldn't this award be for the person who makes the most outs each
day.? That's what Rose really leads in. He took more scoring
opportunities away from his team than anyone else. Since we all know
this is a team game (RLM declared it to be so) Rose hurt his team more
than any other player. By definition, the worst hitter in ML history. >> Stay informed about: The Rose Award For 4-30-2008. |

Any player would love to have 4,256 hits in his career, like Rose.
It's not going to happen, but they would love it. >> Stay informed about: The Rose Award For 4-30-2008. |

No.

Pete really leads in hits.

Primiss 1: Pete got so many outs because he was in the lineup so often.
Primiss 2: Pete was in the lineup so often because he was the game's
greatest hitter.
Conclusion: Pete Rose got the most outs simply because he was the game's
greatest hitter.

Of course Rose would have made more outs than anyone; he had the most hits &
he's the all-time leader in at-bats, so naturally he would make the most
outs. Just like Cy Young, who has more wins than anyone, also has more
losses than anyone.
One other thing about Cy Young; he pitched more than 700 complete games.
The bullpen certainly got a rest when he took the mound.

He only has one out that matters.
Out of the Hall.

Nope. Worst hitter. He made the most outs, therefore he's the game's
worst hitter by definition. Your rules. Its a team game, not an
individual one. His outs hurt his team the most. Worst hitter by
definition. >> Stay informed about: The Rose Award For 4-30-2008. |

So, according to your logic, Cy Young is the most destructive pitcher of
all-time?
