The Rose Award For 5-16-2008.

The Rose Award goes to Jayson Werth of the Philadelphia Phillies, who
went three-for-four with eight RBI and scored three runs in a 10-3 win
over the Toronto Blue Jays.

Werth hit three home runs. He hit an 0-and-1 pitch for a three-run
homer to right field in the second inning and followed with a 425-foot
grand slam to right on a 3-and-1 pitch in the third. He then hit a
solo shot to left-center on a 2-and-1 pitch in the fifth to give the
Phillies a 9-2 lead.
