The Rose Award for 9-11-2007 goes to New England Patriots Head Coach
Bill Belichik for authorizing a cameraman to film New York Jets
defensive schemes with the intent of using the knowledge for in-game
adjustments. The Patriots are expected to be levied with heavy
penalties for this infraction.
We at the Rose Committee salute Bill Belichik. By cheating in the
middle of the game, Belichik and the Patriots carry on the grand
tradition that is best exemplified by the namesake of the Rose Award. >> Stay informed about: The Rose Award for 9-11-2007. |

I suppose I should be surprised that in the week-plus you've been doing this
that you've had so many great honorees already... you'd think there'd be a
day when no one in the sports world does something hugely embarassing and
wrong. Guess not...

The cheating mentioned above probably gave the Pats an unfair
advantage over their opponents. I keep forgetting, so please re-
enlighten me. What unfair advantage did Rose's betting on his team to
win give his team over it's opponent? >> Stay informed about: The Rose Award for 9-11-2007. |

Re: Patriots, The Rose Committee feels that the team should not be
eligible for this year's playoffs, and to have any one of their recent
Super Bowl titles taken away. There would be no Super Bowl winner for
that year. >> Stay informed about: The Rose Award for 9-11-2007. |

Don't tell me. Pete bet against them, didn't he?
