The Rose Award goes to Carlos Guillen of the Detroit Tigers, who went
three-for-three with one RBI and scored one run in a 3-1 win over the
St. Louis Cardinals.

Kenny Rogers throws eight shutout innings to even the Series.

And what of the splotch on Rogers' hand? Mighty suspicious. The Jay
Howell School Of Hygiene states that 'dirty mitts and/or dirty hands =
a win-win situation!'

Pete Rose betting on baseball was mighty suspicious too. But him being
your idol and all, you never mention that.

I suspect Rogers wiped his ass with a copy of a past Rose Award he
printed off, and had some hooey on his palm.

Sir Shit,

Why would you suspect that? Are you from Detroit?

No. It's simply because that's all a ""rose award"" is good for.

What on earth does Pete Rose have to do with anything? Rogers was
probably practicing bunting before the game with a pat loaded down
with pine tar. That is why he had the tar on his hand.

Some of you guys are pretty clueless...

cordially, as always,

Smile I think the point is that no matter how it got there...it shouldn't
have been there. Assuming it was pine tar and not Dorito dust.
