The Rose Award goes to Adrian Gonzalez of the San Diego Padres, who
went three-for-six with four RBI and scored one run in a 9-8 loss to
the Colorado Rockies.

The Rockies' Matt Holiday slid home to cap a three-run rally that put
Colorado in the playoffs.

The hustle was there, the slide was there, a collision at home plate
was there. Now if you can overlook the fact that Holliday never
touched home plate, you saw a thrilling victory by the Rockies in game
that went 13 innings.

This concludes another successful season for The Rose Award.

By what standards do you judge success? IF it is issuing the award in a
timely and consistent manner, I think you've got it.

That's about all this "award" has going for it, unfortunately.

You mean 'cumming to you daily.' Didn't your mother teach you
anything?
