The Rose Award goes to Brad Hawpe of the Colorado Rockies, who went
two-for-four with four RBI and scored one run in a 11-1 win over the
Los Angeles Dodgers.

D.J. Houlton's poor pitching and Yhency Brazoban's shelling in the
eighth sent the Dodgers seven games behind the Padres.

Aren't the Rockies a AAA team? Isn't the Rose Award for MLB players?

At this point the Dodgers aren't much more than a AAA team either.
So many rookies on the club ...and yet still not mathematically out.
Frustrating for this year but promising for the next few. BTW...the
Rockies have the best record in the West over the past couple of
months. Also a young team...watch for them next year.

If only they didn't play in Coors. Maybe the new New Orleans wants a
team...
