Anyone who makes such a judgment, might find that it applies to them
as well.
Arod has done nothing to improve the ny yankees condition since he
arrived. If they had gotten better, went deeper into the playoffs, and
even gotten to the WS, there might be a case, but when the greatest
player in the game arrives onto what is already one of the top teams
in the game, and he makes no discernable impact on the fortunes of the
team, its time for folks to ask exactly what does he bring to the
table, for the benefit of the NY Yankees?
So far. Nothing. How many failures are allowed, and if he EVER
delivers, does that offset the complete lack of further team success
since he arrived?
There is a major difference between Yankee fans, and Arod fans. Arod
fans, infest this group. Yankee fans, are few and far between. |

I hate when people say that its pitching pitching pitching. If taht was
true how come the team with the best ERA does not win the world sieries
every year. I believe last year ESPN did a segment on Baseball tonight
about that, and it shows that teams that ranked higher in batting then

Of course it's not true. It's a blend of Pitching, Hitting, &
Defense. You can get by and if your hot in at least 2 of these
categories you have what it takes to win the WS. If all you have is
one but are mediocre in the other 2, your team isn't going anywhere.
If you are high in at least 2, your a playoff team. If you have all
3, then your the 1998 Yankees.
You cannot get by with just one. While good pitching will beat good
hitting any day of the week. If you have a poor defense behind you or
if you get no run support, it won't matter much. Because your forcing
your pitchers to throw a no-hitter every night in order to win.
