I personally would be disappointed if A-Rod is traded, unless Texas can take
a team to the cleaners. This rumored 3 way deal does nothing for me unless
these "few pitchers" are ready in 2004 to help. Maybe if these few pitchers
are guys like Washburn, Ortiz, Lowe, or Fossum that would interest me enough
to trade A-Rod. It sounds like these few pitchers are prospects (yawn). I
don't see A-Rod being dealt to Boston unless Texas takes Manny, which to
that I say- hell no! It really doesn't matter because they are cutting
payroll which means another season of the Colby Lewises, Tony Mounces, R.A.
Dickeys, and whatever spare pitcher that try to force upon us as the next
great prospect.
