Drop what you're doing and find a copy of last Thursday's
New Times.

Paul Rubin knocked himself out and wrote a fantastic article
about everyone's favorite Perfect-Game pitcher.

Oh, by the way. We probably shouldn't get too euphoric about the New
Times' flattering portrayal of Hammock. They wrote an even more
complimentary piece about Travis Lee back in 1998 or 1999.

That's before they found out he's straight.

But seriously; the new-look team seems significantly more
hipster-attracting than the old one which was made up
mostly of old-timers. If the team's smart, it will market
hard for the 18-35 crowd, because the family set and the
preternatural baseball fans are already mined.
