It's a shame for Reyes who did a great job.

It's the playoffs. It's time for the whole team to step up. They've done
it all year and I have no doubt they can do it again. My predictions:

Cards over San Diego in 5
Cards over Atlanta in 6
Cards over Angles in 6

Now, THAT'S optimism!

Yeah he did. He was solid.

And their best right-handed reliever against lefties. With King almost
useless, that makes the matchups that much tougher.

You know what's really funny? I write for a living but almost ALWAYS make
mistakes in newsgroup postings. But who cares. It's not as if anyone
really notices, right? Yeah, right!

I think Coleman's loss was bigger. He was the Eckstein of that team. I
hate what happened to Reyes mostly for his sake. However, the Cardinals
have overcome adversity all year and there is no reason to think they can't
do it now. You can't look at the last series against San Diego. You can't
project how much better this team would be with Rolen. The fact remains
they won more than anyone else in baseball this year by adjusting to
whatever needed to be done. This might be our team of destiny. If the
Cardinals lose this year, it will take me three days after it happens to
admit it!!
