I was just wondering if anyone know who the Cards will replace the injured
Reyes with?

On a separate note, to add insult to injury, last night I sat down at 11:00
eastern time to watch the game.
I saw all of 1/2 inning before the rain pre-empted my satellites reception.
I was soo bummed. Hopefully
this week will include better start times.

I like the Cards chances against our National League foes, but how do you
think the Cards stack up against
White Sox, the Angels and the Yankees? Who do you think will will advance as
the American League representative
to the World Series?

I have a feeling that IF we get to the World Series, we'll discover that it
will be easier than trying to win the National League Championship.

I'd rather face the Yankees, Angels, or White Sox than the Astros.

I'm assuming that the Astros will defeat the Braves. Personally, I'm rooting
for the Braves, but I think the Astros are the far better team.

You know what? Astros have the better pitching, but for once, they don't
have any bats. They don't have the kid they had last year in center field
(forget his name - went to the Mets for $$).

The Braves on the other hand have a suddenly surging Andruw Jones, and I it
seems like it's always the MVP-type kids that kill us. That kid last year
was a "suddenly surging, almost-MVP" and he went Bonds all over us. At
least with Houston, you know you'll eventually get to their pitchers, and
their hitters aren't anything special (though i'll always have a place in my
heart for Biggio).

As far as the AL goes - I'd say the Angels are probably going to advance -
best pitching, best bullpen, and Vlad Guerrero. I think the easiest matchup
for the Cards would be the Yankees, except you'd have to listen to the
National media take the NYY's side the whole time. Jeter&Co. haven't won
one in a while, and you know they'd be seen as "America's Team" just like
BoSox last year.
