Post subject: Release the Eyre

To Eyre is human...to keep him on the roster is STUPID. The Cubs would have
won today is he didn't give up a homer to the only batter he faced. He's a
detriment to the staff (and the mental well being of the fans). Release him
and send a message to others than continued non-performance exacts a price.
And give Howry a ticket to Iowa to get his head straight, too. Fans watch
these games KNOWING that if it comes down to holding the opposition in the
7-8-9, we're toast.

Right on. Keeping so-called pitchers like Eyre and Dempster is just
plain dumb. They have lost more games than I can count.

It's gotten to the point that, if the Cubs don't have a big lead by
the time they go the bullpen, you can figure that they'll lose the
game.

Just got real busy. Hard to find time to follow all my favorite teams and
