Has there been any news on how Redomond is doing after getting bashed
in the head last night.

I thought I saw him out on the field after the game.

He needed seven stitches above his right ear. They showed him goofing
around in the dugout during the game last night. I presume he will
catch tomorrow's game.

At least losing the DH didn't bite them in the ass.

You know, the irony there was pretty thick. Remember most of last
year and already this year Gardy kept saying he needed 3 catchers
since his DH was a catcher, and if one of them got hurt in a game,
he'd be without a DH? Well, I just thought he worried too much about
that. It seemed like an unlikely scenario, and at times it created
roster problems. But he kept carrying 3 catchers (he hardly ever
listens to me) until just last week when Chirs Heintz was sent
packing. I am sure he's telling everybody: "See? I told you." And
he did.

I thought it was cool that Garza at least put the ball in play a
couple of times--he grounded out the first time and in his second at
bat he executed a perfect sacrifice bunt.
