Post subject: Recruiting for a Sabermetrics Friendly Points League (Linear Weights & Expected LW)
Archived from groups: rec>sport>baseball>fantasy (more info?)

I dare use the dreaded five-letter-word (6 letters?) of Yahoo! (I know,

I know, NOT ANOTHER YAHOO! LEAGUE POST!!), but I currently have 14 out
of 20 owners recruited and my math tells me I need 6 more and I thought

of no better place to recruit statheads than here on usenet.

It's Linear Weights (LW) based for offense and Expected Linear Weights
(xLW) based for pitching. Some of you that read Ron Shandler's fantasy
content might remember both LW and xLW prominently featured in the
Baseball Forecaster books of the past.

I set it up so it won't be so demanding on one's time, with scoring
based weekly with a minimal amount of FA moves (so you have to dance
with who brought). No limits on trades, however.

If you're interested, email me or post here and I'll email you back
with the league info.
