Maybe, he was a reserve on that team though so I think they are more
concerned with the ML roster.

I think that it's less about sending Ellsbury down and more about calling up
a RH
hitting firstbaseman to play against the 2 Tigers' lefty starters that
they're scheduled
to face this weekend, since apparantly Tito wants to rest Youkilis and let
his quad
heal up.

I tend to think that the Futures Game thing is just a happy coincidence of
sending
him down. I think that if there'd been a great reason to keep Ellsbury on
the roster
this weekend, Ellsbury would have made the trip to Detroit.

From what I understand, because of the timing, he will not be able to play
in the future's game. I believe it had to do with him playing in a major
league game.

I think they want him to play every day which he wouldn't do if he
stayed up.
