Post subject: Rangers pitchers tipping hitters as to what is coming....
Archived from groups: alt>sports>baseball>texas-rangers (more info?)

Joe Dopes here has been hesitant to reveal this but I went back and
replayed the first 4 innings of the game last night and once again the
Rangers pitchers are tipping their pitches. This scribe has noticed
this from Padilla,Wood, and McCarthy. After watching the first 2 innings
last night I decided to start calling each pitch that Wood was
throwing just by watching his hands.Wood has a habit of making a very
small movement with his hands everytime he is going to throw a
breaking pitch. It is clearly not there when he throws his fastball. Now
you people probably would never see this because you all are not
trained to look for such things but all 3 of the starters I named have
a very small quirk in their delivery that tips the hitters.McCarthy is
erratic about his delivery and I have watched entire games that he
never once tipped a pitch and then turns around the next outing and he
is all over the place.
