1. How will this affect Randy's relationships with teammates? Not much,
considering he is generally considered not to =have= much of a relationship
with teammates. The closest he's seemed to a teammate was his relationship
with Curt Schilling, and even that had turned rather chilly before the end
of last season. Randy just isn't a pal-around kind of guy; in a situation
like this, that's probably a =good= thing as it tends to minimize any
fallout from his explosion.
2. Is Randy going to be "happy" pitching for a last place club? Depends what
you mean by "happy". He's certainly not "happy" about losing even -one-
game, but that would be true no matter where we were to go. However, his
=family= is quite happy living in the Valley and having Hubby/Daddy at home
for all but about thirteen weeks each year, and all signs point toward
Johnson being more concerned about his family's happiness than his own.
Don't forget, brought a then-borderline HOF C.V. to a last-place expansion
club in '99 because his =wife= fell in love with the Valley.
