When Do the Cubs Raise the White Flag (Officially)

Its over. We all know its over and been over for a while. When do the
Cubs officially raise the White Flag and start playing younger players
to see what they can do and cut veterans that won't be around next
year? Or will the Cubs, out of loyalty to the seasoned veterans,
continue to play the vets right to the last day of the season.

I am betting on the later as I think even the most optomistic Cub must
know it is over.

(And boy, does today look like it is going to be ugly. I appreciate the
team oriented do anything to help the team approach of Nomar.... but
the Cubs should have called up Scott McClain to play third....)
