His head. He had the arm to become the next Steve Carlton. He
contracted a bad case of Steve Blass disease, though, and never could
recover. Then, in the minor leagues afterward, he hurt his arm, had
surgery and that pretty well sealed his fate as a pitcher.

270/316/570 at Memphis with 31 homeruns in 414 PA. That's nothing to
sneeze at. Remember, he played his first season as a position player
in 2005, splitting the season between Low A and AA. He then missed
all of 2006. This is the first year when he's played more than 100
games, so it's not surprising that his pitch selection skills are
poor.
