I think the Dow Jones is going to be OK. Your 401k plan is safe,
thanks to Nick Punto.

If you track Punto's OPS and overlay it on the DJIA, with an
adjustment for time factor, you get a pretty decent mirror image.
That is, just as Punto's OPS took a nosedive in 2007, down to .562, so
did the DJIA take a dive in autumn of 2008, down to 8,451.

But look at Punto's OPS in 2006 and 2008--it was .725 and .726. Look
at the DJIA in October 2007--it was 14,093. I daresay that by this
time next year, just like Punto's OPS recovery, the DJIA will have
recovered back to the 14,000 range.

Punto WOW Punto - Nice base running to tie up the game!

Punto - He gets a leadoff triple, then hesitates before running home on Bartlett's grounder, and gets thrown out. He makes an error to allow the winning run to score. This is one of a few games he's directly or indirectly cost us this year. I hope Gardy isn't..

Punto Does it AGAIN - Need a sacrifice......nice bunt Punto. Now we all know why he fakes bunt all the time during his at bats.....because he is a fake. And what is with Gardenhire pitch hitting Rodriquez for Casilla?? Lefty vs Righty Righty vs Lefty blah blah blah. ..

Punto Comes Through!!! - Looks like we might need to remove the fork and put Punto back in the oven, he might not be done after all. That's twice lately that he has had a big impact on a game by comming up with big hits near the end of a close game. Great game for Bonser, too....
