Very strange injury to Prince Albert today, running to catch a foul
popup, he felt something pop in his side by a rib.

Well, it wouldn't be strange if you assume he's on steroids.

I guess you could say that Luis Gonzalez was on steriods too then. A
few years back, he was running for a pop fly and caught a ball over his
head. He too strained his shoulder over the play. He also hit over 50
homers the year before. A skinny guy like that. Throw in Brady Anderson
also.

He's been tested 4 times so far this year.
He's certified clean.

Clean for known steroids.

HGH is another matter. Designer steroids is another matter.

You're going to have that question no matter what. The HGH
blood test available so far used by the WADA is of limited value
(only a few days and it's not accepted by international
consensus the way the more common drug tests are) and designer
steroids have been beating even the best drug tests around.

I think baseball (and football and baseketball) should do what the
Olympics and competitive cycling do. Take urine and blood samples and
freeze them. Then, f they develop a reliable test in the future, thaw
out the samples and test them.
