He got another RBI last night, walking with the bases loaded.
Thankfully he didn't swing or have to run the bases, as this could
jeopardize his health. I don't think there's any chance he'll keep
the streak of 100+ runs each season, as he has 93.

I am among those who believe it's foolish for LaRussa to continue to
play the injured Pujols any more this season. The wisest move is
definitely to shut him down until next year so he can heal and not
risk additional health issues. Having him take every pitch and then
having someone pinch-run for him when he walks might seem safe, but
what if a stray pitch hits him?
Yesterday morning on 590, a caller made a good point: LaRussa is eager
to play Pujols now when he's injured and the games don't matter much
to the Cards, yet LaRussa refused to play a healthy Pujols in the All-
Star game which matters in terms of World Series home field
advantage. The radio host went on to say he hopes the 2007 World
Series isn't affected by LaRussa giving homefield to the AL by not
playing Pujols.
