Yankees win today 14-5 or maybe 15 or 16-5.
Look for them to score early and often. And yes, look for Alex
Rodriguez to have a huge game. The same goes for Johnny Damon and Jason
Giambi and Matsui. All of the stars are pressed to the wall, so this is
where pride kicks in and the cream rises directly to the top. No more
horsing around. Derek Jeter, as usual, will be in the center of the
mix. Even Torre will manage the game of his life. He will utilize his
famed "Greatest Lineup In History", simply because he's shitting in his
pants and won't have the nerve to play Bernie or Cabrera, thank heavens!
Joe can't afford the risk of going down with any of his $15 million
dollar bullets sitting in the chamber.

I think that kind of thinking is why the Yankees are in the position they're
in.
The most impressive lineup in baseball is doing nothing at the plate because
the Tigers know how to pitch to them.
What's going to win a game is the scrappy, do anything to move runners
attitude that the Yankees had when Melky was in the lineup. Frankly it's how
they made it through the season. It was the reason for their success in the
Paul O'Neil years. And how playoff games are usually won. Get a lead runner
on second and bunt him over. Manufacturer a run and boost a little team
confidence. Don't keep waiting for the big hits. They aren't always going to
just come.
I'd be happy with a 2-1 Yankee win. But I think if they keep patting
themselves on the back for being in such an impressive lineup, it'll be
repeat of last night.

Unfortunately, this team is not built to win 1-0 or 2-1 games. Anways,
look (or hope) for big run production today....a great start in the 1st
inning would be nice....sit down and hang tight--we're in for one
helluva hayride today and tomorrow. >> Stay informed about: Prediction: Yankees 14 - Tigers 5 |

I was talking about your prediction that "[o]ne team will emerge
victorious." Just a knock at Selig's all-star game fiasco. >> Stay informed about: Prediction: Yankees 14 - Tigers 5 |
