In the Tiger's 10-2 victory over the Rangers, Jason Verlander got the
win after 3 losses. Except for giving up 5 hits and 1 run in the
first two innings, Jason settled in and did very well the rest of the
way out. I hope he continues to improve.
Magglio Ordonez got his 1,000th RBI. I'm hoping he get another 1000
as a Tiger!
Someone kidnapped Ramon Santiago and replaced him with an unknown
powerhitter. Ramon hit a 380 foot homer, got 2 hits and drove in 3
runs.
Starting with tonight's (4/23) game, Carlos Guillen will be at third,
where he once played while a Seattle Mariner, and Miguel Cabrera will
be at first where he first played as a Tiger. I'm not sure why
Leyland decided to make this switch but I'm sure he has his reasons.
Of course ASBDT poster John A. Witzke will advocate replacing Guillen
in close games in the 8th or 9th with Brandon Inge.

ahhh, but you're "hunch" had him going straight to the bench in favor of
Inge, and that's not what has happened. He's been moved to first base, thus
keeping his bat in the lineup, as the rest of us contended, so, I guess that
makes it a wash.

Justin's twin brother. You didn't really think that was JUSTIN
Verlander pitching on Wednesday night did you?

Maybe if you spent more time going to games and less time masturbating
in your basement during Tiger commercials, you'd actually know
something about baseball.
As was pointed out by me and several others, Cabrera's fielding is
nearly as good as Inge's and he would not have been a liability at
third in a close game in the 8th or 9th inning despite your
postulations.
But, as it turns out, Tiger's management feel Cabrera, all of a
sudden, isn't nimble enough to play third. This despite his
performance there over the years. Guillen, who was moved to first
from second to save his legs, is now deemed nimble enough to take the
wear and tear at third. I hope this all works out. However, if late
in the season we lose Carlos Gullen because of leg problems again,
they may rue this move.

Don't like responding to myself but of course Carlos was moved from
Short to First to save his legs. I would guess there is less strain
for him at third than short but it's got to be more than first.
