I used to play for the Buccaneers when I lived in Brighton, but I've kinda
given it up since I moved away. I play some catch with a friend of mine,
usually during cricket while we're batting, but I don't play games anymore.
The ol' body can't take cricket on a Sat and baseball on Sun.

I play first base, second base and outfield for the Croydon Pirates 3rd
team.
Been playing since 1988.
Still no better...

Yep - I am coming into my second year with Richmond - a growing club in
south west London that, rumour has it - has just been promoted to the
National League.

Here are a couple pointers that may improve your game.
1. Use a glove.
2. Face the infield.

Walks are good. Ask Barry Bonds. Now for hitting these pointers may
also prove useful.
1. Grasp the narrow end of the bat somewhere near the bottom.
2. Again, face the infield as both the catcher and umpire will
greatly appreciate this.
3. If walks are a problem, try swinging at the ball.
