Game plan for Pedro - I'm wondering if Francona will preach patience against Petey tonight to get his pitch count up early, like the Yankees used to do. If they can get him up ~100 pitches by the 5th and the game's still close, I like our chances. Assuming Beckett pitches..

All this controversy swirling around poor Bud - should he stay or
should he go to mark Bonds' #756? I have a solution (geez, I sure hope
Bud reads this group so he'll know what to do).

All he has to do is when Bonds gets to 753, pay off (eg: bribe) all of
the pitchers on the opposing team. They are to throw nothing but big
fat meatballs to Bonds all game long. I'm talking batting practice.
With any luck, BB hits 3 in one game and jumps to 756 just like that.
In a show of plausible deniability, Selig can claim, "Wha? Who would
have expected Barry to go yard 3 times in a game and break the record
so quickly? What a disappointment! Oh well, congratulations to you,
Barry, our new Home Run King of All Time. Sorry I couldn't have been
there for it, really I am."
