I was wondering if DiNardo was supposed to be anything more than a AAAA
pitcher. I know he's been back and forth a few times. Is he just a
placeholder or is he regarded as anything in developement?

I don't think he's regarded as anything particularly special (like
say Lester, Papelbon, and Hansen are), but I think he's expected to
pitch pretty decently, today's game notwithstanding. He pitched pretty
well in AAA last year, and (for someone who apparently doesn't have great
heat), he's done a pretty decent job of striking batters out the last
few years (though his 2006 MLB numbers aren't particularly good so far).

Catch you later.

One thing I like anout him is that he has shown steady improvement. He has
his setbacks like today, but he's not the neck-snap he was a couple years
ago.
