That's a phrase I didn't think would be truthfully uttered the rest of the
year... so much for the toughest division in baseball, look at the
standings:

Twins 14-14
White Sox 14-14
Injuns 14-15
Tiggers 14-16
Roils 12-16

Now that's a logjam of mediocrity!

No, that's the ALC. Gotta say, I kinda saw it coming.

The ChiSox, Twins and Indians all seemed a bit diminished over the
last couple seasons, and the Tigers were/are way overrated this season...
especially with that horrendous pitching staff of theirs.

I still think the Indians and Tigers will be flip-flopping the division
lead later in the season, with the Twins and ChiSox not far behind
them.

Anything could happen.

Oh, I think the Twins will be around .500 most of the season.

We're just waiting for your Tigers to catch up...some day. Wink

Maybe, but it may also be a logjam of parity. Except for BOS, LAA,
and OAK, nobody in the entire league has a lead of more than a game or
two, and no team is running away with any division. In fact, except
for those teams, no team is more than 2 games over .500.

Probably true. Though it doesn't look like the Tigers are going to
have much to say about it. They look like just a bad baseball team
right now.

And any fan thinking that the return of Willis down the road is going
to help needs to think again. Willis is toast.
