Anyone noticed how that team in the Central Division, the formerly
hapless Milwaukee Brewers, who used to share the bottom of the league
with the Pirates, often finishing behind the Pirates, now are fully
stocked at BOTH the Major and Minor league levels with star players,
drafter by them, while the Pirates have almost nothing at the Major
league level and are even worse, if that's possible, at the Minor
League level? Huh? Huh?
That's a mouthful, but it's true.
The Brewers obviously know how to draft players. Thank you
Dave Littlefield.
And the Brewers obviously know how to draft AND pay for amateur
players, thank you Bob Nutting and Kevin McClathchy.
Amazing!
Two teams, same division, both on the bottom and one rises and may
even contend for the division title this year.]
The other one brings ujp some players from the Minors and still can't
get anywhere.
And let's not hear about the injuires. All teams have them.
The no longer battling Bucs are a sorry franchise thanks to the
Nuttings and McClathchys.
