I am in a 10 team mixed head-to-head league. 6 hitting categories
(traditional 5x5, plus OPS). I need someone to pick up since Sheffield
went on the DL. Which of these players do you think is the best bet to
succeed this year:
Hawpe, Trot Nixon (obviously the most proven of this bunch), Hermida,
Baldelli, Matt Kemp
Please answer quickly so I can grab one before the rest of my league
does...
Thanks! >> Stay informed about: Pickup help for OF |

I'd suggest nixon, for a few reasons.. first I'm a red sox fan, haha, 2nd
with the injuries they've had (mainly the one to willy mo) nixon has been
playing almost all the time, including against lefties (which he usually
hasn't been doing. hes been healthy so far this year and he can hit for
power and average. >> Stay informed about: Pickup help for OF |

Thanks... it turns out that Moises Alou was available too, and with his
power, AVG and OPS, I couldn't pass him up. But I agree Nixon is an
excellent choice, at least for the next month while Pena is out. >> Stay informed about: Pickup help for OF |

I agree on both Alou and Gary Matthews Jr. I have both of them on my
team and they are doing really well for me. Who knows how long Gary
Matthews Jr. is going to stay hot, but for the moment, he's worth
looking at.
