I would pick Albert Pujols if I got the first pick in the draft. Wise choice?
Bonds can break down at any point, Vladimir has a bad back so who knows,
Soriano is hit or miss literally, which leaves Pujols.
As for pitching I think the top three choices, if I could draft the first three
pitchers taken in the draft back to back would be, Halladay, Mulder, and Pedro,
in that order. Am I way off base? >> Stay informed about: Picks for you 2004 baseball draft |

Halladay yes, but don't pick him super high. Mulder and Pedro have health
questions. There are lots of good pitchers out there. Gone are the days when
two guys like Pedro and Unit stand out from all the rest. >> Stay informed about: Picks for you 2004 baseball draft |

I'd take ARod, since SS with power aren't easy to come by. >> Stay informed about: Picks for you 2004 baseball draft |

A-Rod! There are only 3 power shortstops!

Agreed.
The difference between ARod and the average SS is much greater than the
difference between Pujols and the average OF/1B.

Depends on your league. In Wannabe, you choose 9 hitters and 5 pitchers for a
20-team points league. In that situation where Ks count -1 and walks are as
good as a hit, A-Rod drops down a couple of notches due to his Ks. In that
situation, Pujols is king and even Helton would be a better choice than A-Rod. >> Stay informed about: Picks for you 2004 baseball draft |

It also depends if count errors. If you can play a day-to-day OF at 1B/3B,
chances are that you'll have less errors a day-to-day IF.
