Someone just dropped Burrell in my league. I have Dunn, Floyd, Corey
Lee, Big Hurt, Shawn Green. Would you drop any of those for Pat? I
have a hunch Pat will end up near his career .260 number which would
mean he'd have to bat around .300 from here on out. Keeper league, BTW.

David-

Corey Lee? The lesser known Corey from those teen movies in the 80's?

If you really think he's going to hit .300 from here on out, drop one of
(Carlos?) Lee or Thomas. If you're right you'll look like a genius.
However, the better bet is that he will hit his career .260 the rest of the
way and ends up with a .240 season. In that case, his value is in a few
extra HRs or as a keeper for next year.

Actually, that was Corey Haim. Smile I was getting confused with a former
minor league pitcher that originally went to NC State Univ. named Corey
Lee. Carlos Lee is who I meant to say.

So if your guess is .260 from here out, you still prefer *Carlos* Lee
over Burrell?

If Burrell turns it around, they are pretty even in value. What are your
needs in the standings? Looks like you gain in HR and RBI and lose in BA
and SB. If there is potential to keep Burrell for a low salary as a
keeper, then I like his upside better than Lee's.

We have no salaries, and we only keep 3 (which will prolly be Prior,
Nomar, and Bonds). Since I'm a bit weak in the speed department,
perhaps I should stand Pat (ugh) with Lee.

Even considering that we have OBP as one of our categories? Hurt rocks
in that department. Stats: AVG, R, HR, RBI, TB, OBP, SB

Confusing word choice... I didn't mean Lee should be a keeper, I meant
don't give him up for Burrell.
