Of course it is hindsight, by definition.

So, now that TIMLIN is in, do they have faith in Timlin? Do you?
Your logic is flawed.

Your assumption that Okajima was in because of "faith" had nothing to
do with Francona's reasoning. Who's up next? Snyder -- because they
have faith in him? lol.

But you made it seem as if the reasoning was sound. You agreed with
your own thinking. It's flawed.

The reason is that the Red Sox have a double digit lead in the division
and that Papelbon had arm problems due to overuse last year.

bULLSHIT! He was far from overused. Now he is both underused and
underutilized.

Is that why he gave up the losing run last night?

And how do you know he was not overused? From what the reports were
saying, his sublaxation in his right shoulder was aggrivated (or
initiated?) by the constant up-and-down of relief pitching. And
that's why they've been more careful with him this year. Or do you
know something about his health that the doctors don't?

Quite possibly.

There was no causitive definity stated. I know something about pitching that
the doctors might not know. It starts with closers being underutilized in
general and with pitchers being better off throwing more innings in perhaps
less games. The pitch counting fools fully ignore the pitches thrown warming
up in the BP and on the mound. The Red Sox are not getting all that much
value out of Papelbon aside from the glare and the great K stats. It
certainly is not nearly as much value as commonly perceived.
