Padres 6.5 games Out

Arizona lost at Pittsburgh this afternoon, droping them to a 34-30
record, and bringing San Diego within 6.5 games of the lead.

On May 19, exactly THREE WEEKS ago, the Padres were
twice as far back.... 13 games behind the 1st-place Arizona
Diamondbacks. That was the 2008 lowpoint.

Kudos to Bud Black, and to team leaders like B. Giles, Trevor,
Maddux and Gonzalez for keeping the team unfied during the
worst of the slump. There has been no finger-pointing.
