Dare we to dream?

On May 19th, the Padres were an unlucky 13 games behind
the red hot 1st-place Arizona Diamondbacks.

But now, just Twelve days later...

An Arizona slump, and modest San Diego revival, chopped
5 games off that margin, and the Friars are just 8 games back
following today's victory against San Francisco.

4 months of Baseball still remain to be played.

1st place is still not realistically possible. Too many injuries.
But a 3rd place finish is still realistic. Even 2nd place and a
winning record is possible.
