....of why you should pay NO attention to what "the guys on Fox" say. Today
they had a list of pitchers with the most pitches thrown per start. Fifth on
that list was Roy Halladay of Toronto, with 107. What's NOT on the list is
the fact that, in his 11 starts, Halladay has thrown FIVE complete games.
So, tell me, what the is the POINT of this list?!?

The point of the list is - Americans love sport statistics, regardless
of how usless they are.

Thus leading to people saying "the guys on Fox said..." as if they are
somehow well informed by listening to the drivel.

The "guys on Fox" usually just point out the obvious...like the fact
that the Tigers pitching sucks, and that their highly paid offense
is a flop so far this season.

It doesn't take an expert to see that.

No. In this case, they overlook the obvious, to the point of being
misleading. Halladay is on this list, with an average of 107 pitches per
start, BUT, no mention of his five complete games. Who among us would not be
thrilled to see a starter throw nine on 107 pitches?!?!?
