Post subject: Obama, the real maverick.
Archived from groups: alt>sports>baseball>ny-mets (more info?)

I'm tired of hearing Palin's claim that McCain and her are mavericks. Obama
is the real maverick. In 2002 98 senetors voted for a bill with none voting
against it, 2 did not vote.
The house did not keep count of votes but none were willing to raise their
hands when the chance to vote against it was put forth.
Earlier an almost identical bill came across the Illinois senate and Obama
had sense enough to kill it in committee and keep it from coming to the
floor for a vote.
Obama had sense enough to vote against a bill that none of the U.S. Senetors
(Obama wasn't a U.S. Senetor at that time) or members of the house were
willing to.
There are about 535 members of congress counting both the senate and house.
1 against 535 members. That's a true maverick.
The bills in question required doctors and hospitals to waste tax payers
money in providing care to babies that are not wanted. These babies weren't
supposed to be born anyway and likely would die anyway so why waste our
money. These babies were born as a result of failed partial birth abortions.
The hospital were not torturing these babies. They just stuck them in a
closest and let nature play its role. Once the babies dehydrated or starved
to death things were back as they were intended to be. A baby that wasn't
suppose to live didn't.
A baby born in the fifth or sisth month due to a failed partial birth
abortion is likely to die anyway. Why use taxpayer money and medical
resoures to feed a baby that will die anyway.

Vote for Obama (the real maverick) and stop wasted spending of our tax
dollars especially when the economy is so bad.

It's amazing how members in this group will call me all kinds of 4 letter
words if I make a grammer mistake.
But everyone is okay with putting babies in closets until they starve or
dehydrate to death? Not one objection because Obama supports it.
Is Obama really going to bring us the Utopia that is worth selling our
souls?
