Is it just me or do you guys feel strange when you see Dodgers wearing
numbers 6, and 55? I understand that the Dodgers won't retire a
players number until he has been inducted into the HOF. If the
Dodgers retired the numbers of all of their legends that aren't in the
HOF, there wouldn't be many numbers left. It still seems strange to
me when I see guys like Brent Mayne wearing #6 and Carrara wearing #55
though.

Yeah, Gio wearing #55 bugs the 'eck out of me. #6 didn't so much
because when I first started following the Dodgers, I paid attention
to the names but not the numbers. Couldn't have told you until
Jolbert snagged the number which jersey number Garv wore.

Plus, five has always been a lucky number, so when Orel Leonard donned
the double nickel, he replaced Brian Downing (who switched from 55 to
5 for the Halos several years prior) as my favorite.
