The list gets more wrong than it does right. Here's a correct list:
Team # Last
Yankees 26 2000
Cardinals 10 2006
Athletics 9 1989 (includes Philadelphia)
Dodgers 6 1988 (includes Brooklyn)
Red Sox 6 2004
Reds 5 1990
Pirates 5 1979
Giants 5 1954 (includes New York)
Tigers 4 1984
Braves 3 1995 (includes Milwaukee and Boston)
Orioles 3 1983
Twins 3 1991 (includes Washington Senators)
White Sox 3 2005
Mets 2 1986
Marlins 2 2003
Cubs 2 1908
Blue Jays 2 1993
Indians 2 1948
Phillies 1 1980
Diamondbacks 1 2001
Royals 1 1985

How about:
Number of World Championships thrown?
# MOST RECENT
White Sox 1 1919
Oh wait, that's the end of the list. Funny how Sox fans always seem
to forget about this when they mention the Cubs not winning in 99
years.

Ah, so it's not really World Champions, it's something that somebody
made up. That's fine, but the originator of the list should find
something else to call it. "World Champion" is taken.
World Champion is defined as the team that wins the World Series, and
that's all it is. There's no claim that it's the best team in the
Major Leagues. >> Stay informed about: Number of World Championships |

You misunderstood the list. The list was not WS winners, but rather
teams with the most total victories. E.g., the Indians won 111 games
in 1954, far more than the Giants during the regular season and so
the Giants still had fewer wins after the WS sweep.

I'm guessing that they're busy doing something that you haven't --
remembering their 2005 World Series Championship.
