Good grief, man, what were you thinking when you didn't know where the
runner on 1st was or that he was practically on 2nd???

Talk about a weird play!

AnnE in MN
Come on, TWINS, we know you can play better ball! How about that
Nicky, tho??? <G>

I don't know what games you've been watching, but the first two
games in the Boston series have been some damn good baseball,
from both sides.

Baker and Blackburn pitched outstanding games, but the pen let
us down in both as well.

Agreed -- great games -- the Twins are on the receiving end of some "miracle
comebacks", the kind they'd been pulling off with regularity over the last 3
weeks.

It's baseball, the end sum is zero... for every winner a loser... Red Sox
fans are riding high, Twins fans are bummed. Sometimes you have to just say
the other team played better and quit second guessing so much.

Though I will indulge one second-guess... Gardenhire, sacrifice bunting
Nick Punto to third in the 9th inning with Span at the plate? Would you do
us all a favor and take a look at a run expectancy chart and please do your
best to understand what it means?

OK, SS, you stated the obvioius! <G> Yes, the games were some very good
baseball BUT....we know they can play better. That play with Justin was
like watching a little league game. There's no way he couldn't see the
runner leaving. I guess I should have said, Justin, we know you can
play better ball. heh, heh

Yep, the pitching at the end left a lot to be desired. Looked like
Gardy was pulling his hair out of his chiney, chin, chin.

I do have to laff at you guys in here tho....Nicky has been doing a good
job of getting on and you all choose to ignore the fact that he has kept
us in the games since returning. And I like Harris too!

AnnE who has only missed one game this year, I think!
Go TWINS begin again!

I would say that was the pitchers fault or whoever should be yelling to him,
STEAL, STEAL. He is getting the throw assuming the runner is coming back,
someone has to be yelling to him that the runner left, he only can look 1
way.

Yeah, right.
You mean the guy doesn't have eyes in the back of his head? <g>
Sheesh, you "feel" when the guy is not there. I've never seen a 1st
baseman (or woman) look so confused at that play.

Btw, to me it looked like he was looking one way and that was right at
2nd base.

AnnE go TWINS begin again
