Brian Bass does not belong in a 0-0 game.

I totally agree. Why bring a rookie (Bass) with a 4.50 ERA into a
situation he's never been in (in Fenway Park, mind you) in a 0-0 game
instead of a veteran (Crain) who has a 2.80 ERA?
And how about this? Boston has a runner on third with 1 out in a 0-0
game. Don't you give Manny Ramirez an intentional walk and set up a
double play? Two gaffes in 1 inning for Gardy.
It wasn't his finest hour.
