So I'm a Nomo fan. But say he recuperates well, turns out great in Vegas and
gets his speed back...Though he's relatively older and pitching 6-7 innings
will wear him down again...Ya think he'd possibly make a good relief
pitcher? This might work...

I think that IF he looks ready, he probably would work out of the
bullpen a couple of times. IF the Dodgers clinch early I would expect
them to give him a start or two, maybe go with a 6 man rotation to get
everybody a little rest and to see if he is ready to pitch in the
playoffs.

They've timed it very carefully. He's going to pitch in a mock game
situation or two, and then do a rehab assignment that won't end until
after the rosters expand.

Hell no.

Nomo is a notoriously slow starter, giving up most of his runs in his first 2
innings. So instead of 2 runs in the 1st, you want him giving them up in the
8th?
