Ding! Ding! Ding! usually means something good, but tonight it meant a loss.
It was great to see three long balls tonight, but the overpowering Padres
closer was too much for our offense.

Saw the game with Baba Booey again. Had a great time, even during our 5th
loss in a row.

I still don't understand why they put Gagne in games when we're tied. I know
he needed the work, but I would have preferred him to come in when we have
the lead.

We spotted Gagne in his Mercedes on the way out of the ball park. We stopped
right next to him, and I gave him the "it's okay" obligatory arm pump. He
didn't look too pleased. Meanwhile, Baba was trying to flash him... his
retro Padres cap out the window.

"It could be worse... we can be the Padres." - Me to Baba all night long.

Still in second place. Brown will put an end to the brooms invading the park
tomorrow.

Gee, it's so hard to find a place to park around here.

Good to see how classy you are.

What would you have done after you got out of the hospital?

News flash. No save is possible for the home team if tied after 8 innings.

This year after 15 pitches Gagne has faced 24 batters, before last night.

Results:
2 walks
13 strikeouts
0 hits

He should have been at his best.

Last night he gave up two hits after 15 pitches.

Because there is no more important time to use an ace reliever. Gagne needs
toimprove in those spots to achieve his max value for the team.

That is okay to say inside the park. It is just rude and stupid to say outside
it. If there was a brawl you may have regretted it. However, pro athletes are
used to dealing with inconsiderate boors so he probably would have just said
something nasty to you or fully ignored you.

Hospital? I thought they sent dead people to the morgue. But
only if they can find enough pieces to fill a body bag Wink
