I just want to point out that upon his return fromt he DL, Little
Nicky is batting .288. His average may stay right there for some
time, because in the midst of a streak like this, I don't think he
will play until somebody gets in trouble. I sure don't think I would
mess things up if I were Gardy.

I'd just like to point out that since Punto has returned Brendan
Harris has hit HR's off of Trevor Hoffman and Greg Maddux. And Alexi
Casilla has learned to dive and glove tough backhanded shots.

Yes, something strange (and good) is in the air. Why, just think how
good Punto is going to be when he gets his shot. ; )

As of today (7-2-08, post-game), with his 2 hits and 1 rbi, Punto is
batting .278. I'm not bragging, I'm just saying. Oh, and did you see
that crazy defensive play?

OK, I can no longer remain silent. Little Nicky, after going 3 for 4
today, with 2 runs scored, is now batting .320. Hey, I am milking
this goat as long as it stays put.
