Clayton Richard doing a pretty fine job pitching today. My Seattle
sister (transplanted White Sox fan) thinks they may have given up for
the season. Poor lass has been buying limited game tickets for quite
a few years now. Not money well spent!

I'm glad Oz stuck with this kid. His last outing at K.C. I thought we'd
never see him again.
The heat there was murder and you could see Richard's rookie anxieties
compounded with having little control in the sweltering sun.
The same thing happened top Buerhle. I was hoping that being home after that
would bring life back to the team.
I didn't watch but the fifth inning but undoubtedly a shut out is a very
solid performance (6 innings worth anyway).

He pitched out of trouble in the first and kept the ball on the
ground. Very solid outing against a team that has been scoring some
runs lately.
