When asked early in the game who he would use to close in a one run game,
Leyland said Putz...without hesitation. Well he got his one run game.

Unfortunate name.
The AS game sure does make for some ambivalent rooting. I've always been
an AL loyalist, and you usually do wind up rooting for your immediate AL
rivals on that basis. But unlike rooting for your home team, you don't
feel quite so bad when those guys make an error, or "under-perform" if
you know what I mean. hee hee. I wouldn't exactly have been crushed if
the last out had been a HR on K-Rod. I retain my Sox loyalty but I also
see that these guys are "rivals" in the same sense that different floors
of a corporate office might be; just waiting to get transferred between
departments.

Kinda like when A-Rod got thrown out at home. Mixed feelings for sure!
Not sure why he was even trying to get there.

Well I would have been pissed if they blew that game only because we want
that homefield advantage in the WS. Smile

Given how much time he had before he met the catcher, I was surprised
he didn't bother tring to swat the ball of of the mitt.

hehe, same here. My daughter is a Sox fan, so I still remember 2004 when I
let her say up well past her bedtime to watch them win.

I think it will be one of our 2 teams, they have both played pretty equal so
far this year.

I'd much rather see John's favorite NFL team in the Superbowl than his
baseball team in the World Series Smile

At least you have a QB now if Culpepper is gone. Green will be the best QB
you've had since Marino retired. It could have been Culpepper but that
wasn't meant to be.

True, I think Green could be a good QB for the next 2 years and then
hopfully Beck takes over and is the next Marino...

You, me and all of south Florida. I have my doubts. As Jason Taylor
said, one hit and Trent could be "scrambled eggs."
