When asked early in the game who he would use to close in a one run game,
Leyland said Putz...without hesitation. Well he got his one run game.

The AS game sure does make for some ambivalent rooting. I've always been an AL loyalist, and you usually do wind up rooting for your immediate AL rivals on that basis. But unlike rooting for your home team, you don't feel quite so bad when those guys make an error, or "under-perform" if you know what I mean. hee hee. I wouldn't exactly have been crushed if the last out had been a HR on K-Rod. My daughter is a Sox fan, so I still remember 2004 when I let her say up well past her bedtime to watch them win.
